Join WEDLI as we welcome Riverhead Town Supervisor Yvette Aguiar, the first woman of Hispanic heritage to lead a Town in Suffolk County. A Retired Detective Sgt. with the NYPD Counter Terrorism Division, Aguiar also holds a PhD in business administration and had never previously run for office. She will discuss her unique career path and the challenges and successes along the way, as well as revitalization and development efforts in Riverhead.
