About Our Speaker

Carrie Meek Gallagher was appointed CEO of LIPA in June 2025. She brings more than two decades of leadership experience in public utilities, environmental protection, regional planning, and sustainability, most of it in service to the Long Island region.

Prior to her appointment, Gallagher served as Director of the Long Island Office of the New York State Department of Public Service, where she led the Department’s regional regulatory oversight of LIPA and PSEG Long Island.
